"Opinion: The reason I gave them only a 3 is how their corporate style is money first and their charges are absolutely outrageous!! We are new to the area and needed to establish my 14 year old amazing dog with a vet. She has terrible allergies and needs to get allergy injections every three weeks. Before the vet will even walk out n the room you get an estimate of charges from the tech. I was absolutely stunned that a simple cytology to test her ear was $60. I pulled up the bill in my email from our last vet in a fairly pricey town where we are from in Florida and they charged $10. for that same service which is merely putting a Qtip in her ear and looking at it under a microscope. Loved the sweet vet who seemed very young and probably straight out of school and feel bad that she’ll probably lose many patients over VCA’s greed. Disgusting how they take advantage of people who want their babies to have good care. Yup just like someone else said big business buys up all these small businesses and increases prices to egregious amounts. Hopefully people look further as loving owners may sacrifice care as they can’t afford ridiculous prices. VCA look at your prices. This isn’t Beverly Hills. Quit taking advantage of people who are seeking good care for their babies!! WONT BE BACK!!"

"Opinion: I never had issues with this clinic until I brought my almost 10yr old cat in because of a tooth infection. I was given an estimate for numerous things, roughly $1200, but I requested to try a cheaper option first. Upon this request I was sent home with an antibiotic. After about a month I took my cat back in because I was aware that there needed to be more help provided for him. I was given another estimate ($1700-$2100). I, of course, wanted to discuss this with my husband as it was a large financial decision. I was told after telling the doctor that I wanted to discuss with my husband before making a decision, that I either needed to surrender my cat to the humane Society or euthanize him because he “deserves better care.” I will never go back to this establishment. No one should ever be treated like this just because they want to make an informed decision rather than an emotional one. And it should never be assumed that just because I am going to have a child that I have “other priorities.” I love my cat and care for him deeply, but we will be seeking care elsewhere."
