"Opinion: My Grandfather adopted his cat Walley from the humane society a few years ago. He was having some troubles with his last veterinary office and decided to switch over to the Oregon humane society animal hospital for some help. Unfortunately they were not as helpful as expected. They diagnosed Walley with diabetes and prescribed him specialty canned food. They wanted to run some more tests and schedule another appointment. My Granpa missed his appointment because he fell the day before and was sent to the hospital. He asked me to help him and was very worried about Walley running out of food and wanted him to be okay. I stopped by this location in person and asked for some help and let them know the situation. They scheduled us an appointment the next morning and then canceled last minute later that evening and pushed the appointment over a week out. There was no mention about getting him more food whatsoever. I replied back, upset about the situation and also asked to speak with a manager about the fact that his tail issue was not even looked at or diagnosed. I also asked to speak with a manager about the out of place propaganda being displayed in the front of the building. Needless to say, the doctor replied back defending the propaganda and said they no longer want to help Walley. The poor cat was seen by another vet and is infested with fleas and possibly an internal parasite! We are now looking into if walleye even has a medical issue or if his problems are associated from a long term case of fleas and possibly a parasite. It’s a shame that an establishment like this would miss this. My Grandfather is 80 years old and has dementia and can’t properly notice an issue like this. As soon as I saw Walleyes tale I knew there was an issue. Dr. Kochis and this business do not truly care about animals and are unprofessional in the field. I hope other cats don’t get misdiagnosed like Walley was."

"Opinion: We took our 2 rescue cats in for "the works" as they needed shots, licensing, micro chips and exams. We found out quite surprisingly that our eldest Ezzie, was a Male neutered tabby, which we had been calling a girl for the last two years! Ezzie is taking his gender fluidity very well!! 😘 The service was excellent and they were really good with both of my cats! We are so grateful to the Oregon Humane Society for having great vet services! Thank you so much!!"
