  "Opinion: I usually do not write reviews, but I am extremely disappointed by the treatment of the staff. I called to get my cat in for pain and raw skin on her arm and they told me I could come during emergency hours. My partner and I came in and they looked confused and told us they were booked and it was not a “serious emergency.” They scheduled an appointment for us the following day, so we came back the next day. Glennda at the front desk told me because we were late and I didn’t answer my phone, they won’t be seeing us. I asked if we could stay until the ER opened because the website says they close at 8 and I was told the ER opens at 6 pm. The first thing she told me was “it’s going to be a $198 fee” I told her that’s fine! I don’t care about the fee we’ve been turned away twice now & I$0027m concerned for my cat! After I told her that’s fine, she told me they can’t see her and I have to schedule an appointment! She gave me a time for the following week and I went over to my partner to see if that worked for him. I go back to the desk and Glenda is in a back room on her personal phone texting and laughing! At this point I’m in tears. My cat is in pain and we’ve been trying everything to get her seen at Oakwood Animal Hospital. I understand being late can make you lose an appointment, but the customer service or lack thereof was appalling. I work in healthcare myself so to witness the blatant disregard of an animal’s health is concerning to say the least. My partner and I will be looking elsewhere for some compassionate care for our fur baby."
