"Opinion: While traveling through Oklahoma on our way to the Rockies we noticed our 20 year old black cat started leaving blood stains on the sheets. Thinking it was perhaps just overgrooming by our cat we found what appeared to be an open wound on her abdomen. Taking no chances we picked Honor Heights Vet Clinic from a few choices we had in the Muskogee area. Because of our situation they slid us in without an appointment. Doctor Larry Hamilton discovered that the bleeding was not from grooming as we suspected and rather it was a tumor partially exposed above the skin. After being given our options we decided to go for surgery which they performed right away while we waited in their waiting room. The surgery was a success, given 2 different kinds of medications, a wrap to cover her stiches, the dreaded "cone of silence" our cats and dogs just love so much but are absolutely necessary and complete instructions on how to take care of her on the road and even contacted us with the results of the biopsy. All of this was done sans the biopsy results in just a few hours! We obviously left on that days journey later than expected but made it to our next reserved campground in Kansas and we didn$0027t have to cancel any further reservations the rest of the trip. Thank you Larry and all the rest of the good folks at Honor Heights, you saved the day!"
