"Just received this flier in the mail which appears to be targeted marketing towards my household following the recent passing of a beloved family member. We did not sign up to receive marketing materials from this company, nor did we elect to use them for any services following said family member's passing. It is obvious from the timing that Smart Cremation does collect and utilize sensitive personal information from peoples' family tragedies as a standard part of their marketing strategy. An absolutely abhorrent, shameful and offensive practice, and an awful way for us to wrap up another day of mourning and dealing with the logistics of a loved one's sudden death. Smart Creation: make better and more sensitive advertising choices, please. To say this is offensive is a massive understatement."
