"My dog had gotten something in his ear and he was shaking his head and would wimper when we tried to look at it, so we called pet vet for an emergency appointment. They told us to bring him in the next morning and required $175 deposit for the appointment. He ended up shaking out whatever was in his ear, so we called them first thing in morning to tell them he was OK and he didn't need to come in. They wouldn't refund our deposit because their policy is to keep your money even if they don't provide any service. That was a $175 phone call. The one positive was that they quoted us $500-$900, which is almost double what other vets charge, for the procedure if necessary. If you can't get into another vet, use this vet as a last resort. Be prepared to pay a lot more."
