Sweet Dreams of Amelia

"I’ve unfortunately had to use their services many times over the years having lost my beloved pets. When I lived Richmond they are the only one I wanted to do business with for my pets. They were always so respectful of our losses. I moved an hour and a half away years ago so I’ve used a local crematorium. But have not been happy with them. So It has been 14 years since I’ve used sweet Dreams. And i couldn’t stomach using the local choice for my most recent and hardest loss. I called Sweet Dreams knowing it was a long shot because of the distance. But Bruce was so helpful and told me where to Take Penny, So he could take care of her for me. The understanding, compassion and the care they took with Penny means the world to me. I feel Sweet Dreams went above and beyond to help me and my girl. Thanks again. Will only be using Sweet dreams in the future."

"If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This was the place my vet used when we had to tragically euthanize our sweet dog. She was put in a plain urn which looks fine but there was no option given to us so we will have to purchase a different vessel that is what we want. The big issue was the paw print we got back. It is garbage. Like a 3rd grader did it in art class and was also in a rush. It's not even in the shape of an actual circle. Her name looks terrible too. I did better at making a paw print Christmas ornament. I just don't feel like she was handled with care. My husband and I are not happy. Please check with your vets when you have to make such a hard decision and if this is the place they use take your precious pet somewhere else. Also the bag they gave us was black which okay death we get it but maybe pick a fun color so it's not so tragic."

"Both of our dogs passed away at VRCC in Richmond, and had Sweet Dreams of Amelia assist with cremation services. Copper in April 2021 and Charlie in August 2022. It is bittersweet that by fate they were taken to the same overnight clinic, brought into the same room there, and now their urns match one another. Thank you for caring for our boys."
