Tulip Cremation

"My Mother passed away on July 17th 2024. I made arrangements with Tulip Cremation Service to collect my mother. I paid in full on the 17th for the services. My Sister and I signed the contract on the 19th. Then on Wednesday July 31st I reached out to my designated contact to find out more information about the process. Karina then explained to me that my mother had not been cremated yet because of “ unforeseen circumstances “ they were waiting for certification from the Minnesota Health department, as the current Funeral Director was on Maternity leave. In return I contacted my sister who researched regulations about cremation in Minnesota. In Statute Sec. 144A.95 Subd.6a And, we found they were in violation of the Minnesota law in regards to cremation. Upon informing Tulips representative of this they maintain that they are within the contracted time. During the next week I had not received any notification in regards to the resolution of this. Multiple times I was sent to voicemail or to another representative. I called again on Monday August 5th and was informed that they received certificates to move the process forward. I then requested it to be escalated to a supervisor when I learned about the new tentative date of August 13th. My Sister called our representative and was transferred to a supervisor. The supervisor was finally able to expedite the death certificate process."
