"This is long overdue. I don’t really know where to begin. My sweet father passed away suddenly in an accident. My family and I were in such agony, we didn’t really know where to begin. When the hospital asked what funeral home we wanted to use, and they gave us the recommendations, for some reason we felt led to go with Cagle. I now know why. I think they were truly sent to us as a blessing. As I said, it was an accident and we were in such mourning we were not always on our game. Kenny was great meeting us at the hospital and gently letting us know what first steps we needed to take. Kaylea Cagle Petty never once made us feel rushed. She is truly an angel on earth. It took us longer than most, I’m sure, to set service details, finalize our hour long slideshow, set the obituary etc. - Cagle only showed love, understanding and patience. The night before my daddy’s celebration of life we wanted to put some personal items in the visitation area to better show people who he was-what he loved. I meant to grab just a few items with my sisters that turned into a carload- front and backseat were filled. I thought there’s no way they’re gonna let us drag all this in here and then us set up. When I went inside and approached Kaylea I said “we brought some things of my daddy’s” and she was EXCITED-not upset that it was last minute-she was excited to make it special for us. After they helped us unload everything out of the car we told them we would set it up real quick. She told us to please leave it and let her do it. I was weary because they were my daddy’s things but I knew it would be a lot to set up and would be very emotional for us. So I left it in the hands of Kaylea. She must have been up all night setting up his belongings. When we walked into the funeral home, beautiful doesn’t do it justice. She had done the perfect job, better than anything I could’ve done or imagined. This is the hardest thing my family has ever been through and I am so grateful and thankful Cagle Funeral Home was there to see us through it. They continue to help us with any questions we’ve have too. Kaylea did not miss her calling, a true angel."

"We recently had my grandmothers funeral at Cagle Funeral Home. My family has used Cagle’s Funeral Home for the past 50+ years but this recent experience was different. Something had changed. If I’m being completely honest, we were a little nervous and hesitant because of recent retirements and staff changes but my grandmothers funeral was prepaid with Cagle’s. These worries were quickly forgotten as soon as we had our first interactions with the staff at Cagle’s. From the time they were called to report the passing of my grandmother to the graveside service concluding, it was just a different experience. It was something special. This time, we felt as though we were treated as family not just another family to service. Cagle’s staff wasn’t just going through the motions of another family or another funeral service. My grandfather passed in 2018 and we had a great experience with Cagle then but this time was next level. This time my family was blessed to work with Shane. Let me tell you, from the time that we met with him to make arrangements to the hugs goodbye at the graveside we were absolutely blown away. I would be here all day if I were going to list all of the positive things my family had to say about Cagle’s, especially Shane. He made us feel as if we always welcome, not a bother and, honestly, as part of his own family. He was there to serve us as a family and you could tell he took pride in his work. He was always patient, willing and present to serve us with whatever was being requested. He put together a tribute table and memorial slide show for my grandmother and both represented her so well. I cannot even begin to give a number of compliments the family members collectively received on both the memorial table and slideshow. They were such unique touches to remember her. The slide show was displayed on a flat screen tv so everyone could see it no matter where you were in the room which was such a fine detail. The table had some of her personal items and things that she loved. It was so well thought out and decorated. If you ever get the chance to work directly with Shane, consider yourself blessed. Cagle’s went above and beyond to serve us and make sure this process went smoothly and honoring my grandmother so well! We are forever grateful for such a positive, refreshing and smooth experience and consider ourselves lucky to have worked with Shane. A big thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Shane, Kaylea and all the staff at Cagle Funeral Home. We will never forget the kindness you all showed our family during a difficult time."
